The Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology, Shibpur (IIEST Shibpur) is inviting applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position within the Department of Civil Engineering. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- Applicants must possess an M.E. or M.M.Tech degree in Civil, Hydraulic, or Water Resources Engineering, or a related discipline.
- General candidates require a minimum of 60% marks (or 6.5 CGPA).
- SC/ST/PwD candidates require a minimum of 55% marks (or 6.0 CGPA).
- A valid score in GATE or NET is essential for eligibility.
- Desirable: Prior experience in fluvial hydraulics research or numerical modelling.
Age Limit
- Candidates should not exceed 32 years of age.
- Age relaxation of up to 3 years is provided for OBC (NCL) candidates.
- Age relaxation of up to 5 years is provided for SC/ST, Women, and PwD candidates.
Stipend and Salary
- Years 1 & 2: ₹48,100 per month (₹37,000 + 30% HRA)
- Year 3: ₹54,600 per month (₹42,000 + 30% HRA)
