AIIMS Guwahati Senior Resident / Senior Demonstrator Notification 2026 Overview
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Guwahati, has published a rolling recruitment notice for the position of Senior Resident and Senior Demonstrator. This recruitment aims to fill 103 vacancies across 33 different medical and non-medical departments. These positions are offered on a tenure basis for a maximum of three years, following the guidelines of the Central Residency Scheme.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- Medical Candidates: Must possess a Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD, MS, or DNB) in the respective specialty from a recognized university.
- Dental Candidates: Must have an MDS degree specifically in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Non-Medical Candidates: Required to have an M.Sc. followed by a PhD in the relevant subject area (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Pharmacology).
Age Limit (as of the closing date)
- Upper Age Limit: 45 years.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and up to 15 years for PwBD candidates as per government norms.
Salary Structure
The remuneration for selected candidates is based on the 7th CPC pay matrix:
- Medical Personnel: Pay Level 11 with an initial basic pay of ₹67,700 plus NPA and other applicable benefits.
- Non-Medical Personnel: Pay Level 10 with an initial basic pay of ₹56,100 plus standard allowances.

- SC / ST / EWS: ₹500
- PwBD: Exempted from fee payment.
