ICAR IARI Recruitment 2026 Overview
The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR IARI) has announced employment opportunities for the temporary positions of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and Young Professional II (YP-II) on a contract basis. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- Senior Research Fellow: Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Biotechnology, Vegetable Science, Genetics, Plant Breeding, or Genetics and Plant Breeding, coupled with a 4-year or 5-year Bachelor's degree. Candidates possessing a 3-year Bachelor's degree must have a valid NET qualification (CSIR/UGC/ICAR) or a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline. Desirable: Prior research background in vegetable breeding, molecular techniques, and computer systems.
- Young Professional II: Candidates must possess a Postgraduate degree in Horticulture, Vegetable Science, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Seed Science & Technology, Biotechnology, or associated Life Sciences. Desirable: Practical knowledge in germplasm screening, data analysis, and statistical tools.
Age Limit
- Senior Research Fellow: The maximum age limit is 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable up to 5 years for SC/ST and female candidates, and 3 years for OBC category applicants.
- Young Professional II: Candidates must be between 21 and 45 years of age.
