Eligibility Criteria
Gender & Residence Requirements
- Gender: Only female candidates are eligible to apply for these posts.
- Residency: The applicant must be a permanent resident of the specific Gram Sabha or ward where the vacancy exists.
- Family Constraint: No two women belonging to the same household can be appointed at the same Anganwadi centre.
Educational Qualification
- Minimum Requirement: Candidates must have passed Intermediate (Class 12) or its equivalent from a recognized board.
- Maximum Considered Qualification: Postgraduate.
Age Limit (as of 1 July 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 35 years
- The age will be verified strictly through the Class 10 (High School) certificate.

Selection Method
Selection will be based on a merit list prepared using the educational marks of candidates (percentage of marks divided by 10). Priority in selection will be given in the following sequence to candidates from the local ward or Gram Sabha:
- Widowed women living below the poverty line (BPL).
- Legally divorced or abandoned women from BPL families.
- Other eligible BPL candidates.
- In the absence of BPL candidates, widowed, divorced, or abandoned women from above-poverty-line (APL) families will be prioritized.
